New Year

Well, 2006 has finally arrived, closing out an overall good year for me, with a less than stellar ending. I'm hoping that this coming year will a good one, but we won't really know for another 364 days. Hopefully going back to school will keep me busy, along with work, and I'm hoping to meet some new people who I actually can hang out with (unlike my class I took at county this past semester). If anything my major resolution for this year is to be more socially active, and just get back to being me, like I was in college. I need to not be so worried about what I don't have, and be thankful for what I do have. I need to be confident in myself, knowing that I have a lot that I can bring to the table.

On a different note, i really need to find myself a new car, whether it's brand new or a certified pre-owned. It really isn't fun driving down the street and then suddenly your car jerks or just stalls out because something is going on with the wires inside your car. The two things that are really stopping me from getting a new car are 1. the $$$$$ and 2. I'm really really picky about what I want. Honestly, if my car wasn't fritzing out, I would love to keep it, even though it doesn't have airbags and the MPG is crap. It really is a great car, and has everything I want, but unless I can find a mechanic who can fix electrical problems in VWs for cheap, there's no reason to get it fixed. But I'm trying to wait as long as possible until I have enough money that I'm comfortable enough to go ahead and buy one.

I also need a new computer. Well I don't NEED one, but it would be nice to have. The reason I say that is that my RAM is pretty small, and the type I have (RDRAM) is expensive and old and no one carries it. And it'd probably be cheaper for me to just build a new tower than buy a new computer, since I have everything and it all works (as of right now). Again, I'm hesitant because of the $$$$, but I'll probably give in eventually.

Other than those two things, I don't need anything else, though I'll probably get myself a new pair of shoes at some point.

But anyway, Happy New Year, and here's to hoping that everyone has a great year.
